We're Padharo, on East Street in Southampton, and this is our Christmas Menu: £29.95 per person, one item from each section. Book ahead and each guest gets a free drink. We're open on Christmas Day itself, Friday 25 December, from 5pm to 10:30pm. The whole menu is 100% vegetarian, so a mixed office table eats well with no separate dietary order.
We were named Indian Restaurant of the Year, South of England, at the Nation's Curry Awards 2025. Large group deals are available by email, and we can open the whole restaurant for exclusive private hire.

Thin rice flour based snack. Bursting with flavours, these savoury delights offer satisfying crunch with drinks, served with mango chutney, and coriander and mint.

Spiced spinach and potato patties, soft inside, pan-fried to a golden crisp.
Cauliflower Kickers
Crispy cauliflower in our signature house batter, stir-fried and coated in spicy chilli sauce.

Thinly sliced onions, gently spiced and deep-fried until golden and crispy.
Dahi Puri
Crunchy puri shells stuffed with chickpeas, potato, onion and tomato, then topped with sweet yoghurt, tamarind and coriander-mint chutney.

Dark Choc Brownie
A warm, fudgy dark chocolate brownie. Properly chocolatey, properly vegan, and properly hard to share.
Pistachio Kunafa Nest
Beautiful and delicious. Delicate, crispy nests of shredded pastry are baked to a golden brown, filled with a rich pistachio creamy centre and an added twist of gulab jamun on the top.

Allergies, halal and vegan
If you're booking for a mixed group, this is the easy one. Nobody at the table needs a separate menu.
- Vegetarian and vegan
- Everything we cook is vegetarian. 60 of the 66 dishes on our main menu are vegan or have a vegan option, and the Christmas Menu is marked VG wherever that applies. The Chick'n is plant-based.
- Halal
- There's no meat anywhere in the kitchen, so there's nothing to check on halal grounds. We aren't halal-certified because there's nothing to certify. We do serve alcohol at the bar.
- Allergies
- Every dish on our main menu is tagged for dairy, nuts, soya, sesame, mustard and sulphites, gluten, and onion and garlic. Open the menu, tap Dietary, tick what to avoid, and you'll see only the dishes that fit, before you book. Our kitchen handles all 14 declared allergens, so tell our team about anything serious when you order.

Is Padharo open on Christmas Day?
Yes. We open on Christmas Day itself, Friday 25 December 2026, in the evening from 5pm to 10:30pm. Every other day in December keeps our usual hours, Tuesday to Thursday 5pm to 10:30pm and Friday to Sunday 12pm to 10:30pm, and we stay closed on Mondays as we do every week.
How much is the Christmas menu at Padharo?
Our Christmas Menu is £29.95 per person, with one item from each section: nibbles, street food, a main, naan or rice, and dessert. Side dishes can be added for £3 each. Book ahead and every guest in your party gets a free drink, house prosecco, wine, draught beer or a soft drink.
Can we book an office Christmas party at Padharo?
Yes. Our set Christmas Menu makes ordering simple for offices and mixed groups: everyone chooses on the night from one item per section, so there is no separate pre-order to chase. We arrange large group bookings by email, and the whole restaurant is available for exclusive hire for bigger parties.
Is the Christmas menu vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free?
The whole Christmas Menu is vegetarian, in keeping with the rest of our menu, which is 100% vegetarian. Most dishes are vegan or have a vegan option, and many are gluten-free or can be made gluten-free, all clearly marked. That means a mixed office table can order without anyone needing a separate dish.
Can we bring guests with allergies, or guests who eat halal?

Booking ahead is strongly recommended. December is our busiest month and tables go early, especially for Christmas Day itself and for weekend evenings. Booking in advance is also how you secure the free drink that comes with the Christmas Menu, and it lets us prepare for larger groups.
